Days 17 - 20 - Back to Utah and into Canyonlands

We left Salida early Wednesday morning and head over the Monarch Pass back into Utah with a destination of Moab.  The drive was outstanding with only two 8,000' passes to climb over.  We arrived in Moab late in the day and set up camp at a really nice RV park just south of the city.

Thursday was a rainy day so we decided to head up to Green River instead of going to one of the parks.  It was a nice drive through high desert and plateau. In Green River we discovered a REALLY great musuem, the John Wesley Powell River Museum.  This was the guy the charted the lower Colorado River back in the late 1880's.  We spent almost two hours in the little spot.

On the way back we drove of the Colorado River Canyon a ways admiring the river, the white water enthusiasts, and the canyon.
