Our Last Days in Sapporo, Japan

Our last two weeks in Sapporo were buried in snow.  We had daily snow falls of 3 -5 inches and the temperatures hovered around 25^F.  While it was not "that cold" for Alaskan blood, everything had slowed to a crawl.  We took in a couple more movies at our favorite theater and did a bit of after Christmas shopping, not because we needed something, but it was something to do.  On one sunny day we finally made it to the top of Mt. Moiwa and enjoyed the views from the observatory.

Our days were lazy, good meals cooked at home, and lots of Netflix.  We grew accustomed our our little neighborhood, starting seeing and nodding to the same folks on the street, and made friends with a few of the local vendors.  This stay proved we can call just about any place "home."  It doesn't take long.
