Day 11 - The Lake District

We had a short two hour drive to Barrow on the Western Lakes Peninsula.  We drove through the town of Ulverston where our friend John Poole lives.  He will join us tomorrow.  There we stocked up at the local grocery before heading into the hills, winding along single track lanes, and finally arriving at our remote cottage in the glen.  What a gem.  A 16th century stone cottage nicely appointed with modern conveniences.  We quickly made ourselves at home.
