Day 2 - Seoul - Space Ship and Shrine

From the outside the Design Center Complex looks like a giant space ship.  Smooth rounded silver shapes, no windows, flowing over the hillside.

Inside is a winding path of shape an doors opening into large shopping areas and space for new designers to show their work.

 Lots of restaurants.
 Works still going on.

 LED rose garden.

The center is built on the site of an old aqueduct.

Very cool 3D printer of you   for only $300 USD.  Stand in the cell and the carmeras take a 360 degree image that is then printed into a keepsake figurine.

On the way to the shrine we stopped at an alley restaurant for a fish lunch.
The shrine can only be visited by guide and reservation.  Luckliy we were in time for the English tour and were added in.  The grounds are stunning.  The colors on a bright day were outrageous.

Our guide Soojeong was articulate and pleasant.  We toured the many building where the wooden slates representing the bodies of the former emperors are enshrined.
