Day 27 - Geology, Seals, a Grand View, and a Fish Market

Today we drove an hour back to Lake Baijsl, this time to learn about its geology. The museum once again was fresh and modern, with really great interactive displays. We learned about the two tectonic plates separating in this region to form the 8,000 ft of depth...and of course all the earthquakes.

We met the infamous Baikal seal, the only fresh water seal in the world. Fat little guys they ste...and sadly two who don't like each other trapped in a rather small aquarium.

Next up was UP as we ascended a mountain via ski lift for grand views of the lake.

We enjoyed a fresh fish lunch folliwed by free time in s lcsl tourist market before heading home.
