Today we decided to enjoy a lazy morning before heading out to our last "president home." Our destination was Thomas Jefferson's retreat known as Poplar Forest. We enjoyed a later than usual lunch at a classy Italian restaurant and then headed south for our two hour drive. What we hadn't noticed was the time we left Charlottesville. When we reached Poplar Forest, they has just closed for the day. LOL. So we headed back into the hills and found a wonderful brewery where the girls hoisted a few cold ones. I am of course the DD.
