Days 290-294 - Getting Ready for the World

Here we are, back in Southern California, with some of the people we love the most.  The Tycholis clan are family and they are the best.  Dianna and Don loaned us niRVana and Satan for our ten month USA adventure. This amazing gift allowed us to do things we would never have been able to afford, let alone accomplish.  We spent four days with our family.  We visited our niece and her husband's remodeled store in time for their grand re-opening following a car crash through their front window a year ago.  Great timing.  We got to spend a few quality days with our five year old grand nephew, Casch.  What a cutie!  We played with toys and swam in the pool and had lots of sword fights.  We finally got to meet Jay, the newest member of our family.  He's our Victoria's boyfriend and such a gentle, smart, and king fellow.  We spent time with cousin Kathy and were glad to see her in such good health.  Together we did a lot of what we do best...eat and drink!  A few fabulour BBQs and some great music.  The pool time was lovely.

We attacked our bags a few more times and got pretty uptight about the weight.  We went through the list a few more times and packed up a storage box or two.  At 50 lbs. each our bags are overwhelming.  The electronics are a necessity...at least at this point...and they weigh the most.  We won't even get into how heavy our "small" carry-ons are!
