Day 10 - Palace of the Kings

Today we took the train south of Paris to the Chateau de Fountainbleau.  The castle is the only continuously occupied home of all the kings of France from Francois I, the Napoleans, and up until the revolution.

It was a great one hour ride south through the French countryside.  We then took a bus to the castle and began our visit.  We had an audio guide for the tour.  I won't even begin to try and describe all the below.  Just enjoy the picture.

Marie Antoinette's bedroom.
Throne room.

Throne room.

Napolean's bedroom.

The desk that Napolean used to sign his letter of abdication.

Leopard wall coverings.

The tour ended with a walk through the gardens.

You don't often see swans out of water...and these two were really cute.
